What services does Poop Tech provide?

Poop Tech provides scheduled visits (2 X a week, 1 X a week, or 1 X every other week) for complete removal of dog poop from your yard. For pricing of scheduled services, see our “What are our Rates?” FAQ.

Poop Tech also provides one-time services. The price of one-time services are determined with a quick and free inspection of the yard or premises.

How does it work?

All it takes to get your yard scooped is a phone call, text, email, or by signing up online. Poop Tech only needs basic info such as address and contact information. It’s that simple. There are no contracts or cancellation fees.

Once you select your schedule frequency there is little else for you to do. Typically your day of service during the week depends on your location. As long as the account stays current Poop Tech will automatically come out and scoop your yard on the selected day of service. Except for listed holidays or extreme-adverse weather you can expect us there to scoop your yard.

What schedule frequency is best for me?

This question is asked often. Every customer has different needs… with that said, a good guideline is as follows:

Dogs typically have a preferred area and only begin to make their mess elsewhere once their preferred area is full. Therefore regular cleanings serve to keep yourself and your dogs happy while keeping the mess to a minimum.

If your yard is well maintained, have 2 or more dogs, you frequent your yard often and/or have cook-outs, guests over, etc. then more services per month may be needed. So for example if all this applies to you, 2X a week or weekly visits may be best suited for you.

If however you rarely spend time in your yard but want a clean environment for your dog’s then the bi-weekly schedule may be your best option.

What is my scheduled day of the week?

Your day of the week for service depends heavily on your location in Lubbock. If a particular day is not preferable to you, we do try and meet your needs. Once your day of service is determined that is the day you can expect us there to scoop your yard in the following weeks. For example, if you choose weekly service on Wednesdays, you can expect us there every week on Wednesdays. Another example, if you choose bi-weekly service on Mondays, you can expect us there every other week on Mondays.

What are our rates?

These rates reflect as of May 19th, 2016 and are for residential clients only! Apartments, businesses, residential homes, etc, please call for rates.

How do I pay Poop Tech?

At the end of each month after all the poop is scooped, you can expect an invoice from Poop Tech for the work done that month. There are several options to make a payment. This includes cash, check, credit/debit card, bitcoin, gold and/or silver and PayPal. As well, automatic payments can be set up. If you prefer another payment method please contact us.

There is a $5.00 late fee for accounts not paid by the 15th of the month following the service.

I keep my yard locked, how does Poop Tech work around this?

Keeping your yard locked is no problem. Most customers usually give Poop Tech access (best option) to their yard by making a copy of the gate key or getting the combo to the lock. However, if your yard stays locked from the inside we will need to contact you on your selected day of service to ensure the lock is removed to allow us to scoop your yard. We can’t scoop your yard if we can’t get in.

Are there any contracts?

No. We do not require contracts and there is no advance notice required to cancel service. We can stop your service at any point.

Is it possible to get a one-time service?

Absolutely. One-time only or short-term service can be easily arranged. All it takes is a phone call.

Is there in an initial charge for new service?

Yes and no. It depends entirely on poop accumulation in the yard. If the yard has a great amount of poop there may be an initial charge applied. Usually no more than $40 dollars extra and only with your prior approval.

Can we scoop with your dog in the yard?

In most cases, yes. Plenty of our customers leave their dogs outside while we service the yard and we do get along great with dogs. However, there are some cases when a dog will not let our worker into the yard and will not allow us to scoop the yard. If you know that your dog/s is not good with strangers or is very territorial then we ask that you restrain or confine your dog/s during service.

We don’t want to take unnecessary risks with your dog or our employees.

What if I want to skip a service day?

We ask that you give at least a 24 hour notice. You will not be charged if you call Poop Tech 24 hours before your regularly scheduled visit to skip service for the day.

If the dog/s will be gone from the yard for a couple of weeks or you want us to skip for some other reason for a long duration, we can put a hold on your service and you will not be charged for those days.

Please take note, that if there is a hold on the account and then services are resumed and there is a large accumulation of dog poop, we may apply an additional charge.

What happens if my gates locked on my day of service?

If the gate is locked during the service call and we are unable to service, there may be a service fee applied for that service in place of your normal service fee.

If you remember last minute your gate is locked please call us ASAP. This may prevent a service fee if we haven’t been by to scoop your yard yet.

What happens if it snows or rains?

Poop Tech works in most weather, but snow or rain can make it very difficult to impossible to scoop your yard. In this case we will postpone your service till the next day if weather permits. If the adverse weather continues beyond one day then we will typically cancel the service for that week and you will not be charged.

You should expect to be notified of cancellation or postponement due to weather by text, call, or email that day.

Does Poop Tech work through the winter?

Yes. Dogs continue to make their mess all year long and Poop Tech is right behind to scoop it up!

What holidays does Poop Tech close for?

Poop Tech is closed for the following holidays:

  • 4th of July
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Day
